In a new YouGov RealTime survey, 72% of respondents say that medical marijuana should be legal nationally, and 50% say recreational marijuana should be. The survey also found that 62% of respondents believe that marijuana will be federally legalized within the next decade.

Women are more interested in CBD than men, according to the survey. The survey found that 1 in 5 Americans are already using some kind of CBD product, and 40% are interested in CBD-infused products like bath soaks and lotions. Parents with adolescent children are 50% more likely to consume CBD edibles.

Even non-marijuana users support legalization of both recreational and medical marijuana. Their support of national medical marijuana legalization was 93% and recreational legalization was at 86% for this group.

The survey also explored the overall attitude toward marijuana. It found that 52% believe alcohol is more dangerous. Millennials support this statement by 59% and other age groups support it by 87%.

The survey included responses from 1,269 American adults ages 18 and older and was conducted between April 5th and 8th, 2019.
